知覚の差って瞬間的な差の問題ではなく、たとえば目が見える人と見えない人とで世界の見え方がどう違うかということについて、「目の代理で他の感覚器官をこのように使っている」みたいな理解の仕方ってかなり問題があるのだと、木下さんの論考を読んで気付かされる。知覚の構造は成育環境から丸ごとできあがってくるから、「ある器官を別な器官で代替している」という理解は完全に間違っている。知覚は身体的条件と教育とを合わせて構造化されていく。身体はそれだけ歴史的なものだ。
